To many health enthusiasts junk food is the offerings from Beelzebub's larder of sin. But is it really that bad? You could argue that if junk food was so bad, more people would be getting sick!
Well currently 1 in 3 people are expected to get cancer of some sort or another so you could argue that that's pretty serious. How much longer before we start taking diet seriously and begin making drastic changes to the way we eat and the way we approach health?
IS IT ENTIRELY THE FAULT OF JUNK FOOD
Of course junk food is not entirely to blame for everybody getting sick. Other life style factors are to blame too. The reason why junk food is such a major factor is because of its direct ability to alter our body chemistry. Internally whether consciously or unconsciously, we create an internal environment. We are mostly water so imagine that inside our body is like a swimming pool and that all our cells are people swimming in it.
Now imagine if the water was to become polluted with rubbish, junk and decaying food and left to stagnate. Very soon it would begin to attract flies and other disease causing bacteria. How well do you think the people swimming it would stay after swimming in that water after a while?
Well that is what is happening to our cells. Blocked up colons is one of the biggest factors and the quickest way to begin polluting your insides. No exercise allows the putrefying waste to fester even more which creates a real beauty of an environment, especially if you are a pathogenic bacterial form. Why they even
TASTE SOOOO GOOD?
On the face of it, it does appear that junk food does get a hard time from the healthy minded people of the world who don't want to eat it any more. But lets face it, at one time or another everybody has indulged in a junk food orgy or three! Why does it taste so good and why is it sooooo addictive.
The reason its so tasty and sooooo addictive is because of all the artificial chemicals, sweeteners like ASPARTAME, sugar (devil's dandruff) and spices that are in there to make it taste super tasty and get us hooked on them. They muck with our body chemistry, are often hard to digest, low in nutrition and although they keep people alive, they can actually end up leaving people malnourished in the long run.
Lets be reasonable, bit of junk food certainly won't kill you. But junk food every day, day after day, week after week, year upon year definitely will have a detrimental effect. You may not even live long enough to feel those effects yourself but your off spring most likely will.
The biggest problem with junk food is that children get to eat it when their bodies are forming. During those critical stages of development andy nutritional shortfalls or imbalances with body chemistry can have very serious far reaching consequences in later life.
How on Earth do you try and tell a child not to eat the tasty junk food all their friends are eating because they could have hip problems when they are 50????? That's the problem we face today. Without the help of the food manufacturers and SCHOOLS, where children go to learn what is right and wrong its going to be an up hill battle for most people. With the best intentions in the world, once your child starts hanging out with kids who love junk, their is a strong chance that they will be turned to the dark side.
So the reason junk food is so bad, is not because of the short term problems like obesity and malnutrition, its because of the long term damage being inflicted on human DNA and the ramifications of this. It is the wolf in sheep's clothing. Anyone making a stance against junk food is immediately made to look like a party pooper that is trying to stop kids having a "treat"! If you take a closer look at most of the foods we "treat" our kids to, you will see that they are not really "treating" their insides once its reached their poor stomachs.
