The answer to this question is easy.
The best raw food diet, is the one that works for you!
Simple as that. If you are trying to follow an approach because you fancy the guru who suggested it, or because of certain belief systems, then you could come unstuck if that diet is not fulfilling your nutritional needs.
If you do try to stay following a diet that isn't working for you for an extended period of time, it can then lead to emotional problems and Vitamin L12 deficiencies.
Sooner or later you will have to address it. Your body will let you know when you aren;t doing something right. You can listen to the signals or ignore them. Those signals will keep getting louder until you have to do something about it.
ONLY ONE RAW FOOD DIET
You quite often read articles written about raw food that make it sound like there is only 1 raw food diet. That's a bit like saying there is only one cooked food diet!
There really is an unlimited way you can interpret what eating raw food should include. What you have to always remember is that us humans have been eating cooked food for generations and generations and so while many people can adjust over night to an all raw diet, some of us might not find that change so easy, for what ever reason.
I am fully prepared to admit that maybe its just because I haven't got the determination to resist all those wicked cooked foods I indulge in that keeps me from eating all raw. I managed it for 3 whole years some 5 years ago at the cost of my emotional happiness and my social life. I see people getting on board the raw food roller coaster now full of enthusiasm after deciding to go all raw. This often starts well but ends in tears some hours or days later...for some they may even last months and years before "falling off the raw wagon" which I don't think is a good way of describing it because it implies failure. Failure to do what exactly. Think of how much extra healthy food you ate when compared with your old diet!
EXTREME RAW ATTITUDES
For some raw foods becomes more than a diet. It becomes their whole reason for being. The entire focus become becoming 100% raw and staying 100% raw at all costs. If you are genuinely happy whilst eating 100% for extended periods of time then that is excellent. I quite often go days and weeks without even trying without even thinking about it, but when I fancy or feel like eating other stuff O don't have the guilt trip of the feeling of failure or the disappointment of not breaking my all time how long I've been raw world record!
