Why is exercise so important?
I know what you are thinking. If you are out of shape or don't currently like to exericse then the last thing you want to hear is how important exercise is in health. Now whilst I like to laugh and promote and very relaxed balanced non judgmental approach to health I have to say this one thing. If you don't exercise at all then you will never be really healthy for several reasons.
Think of a body of water that is left undisturbed for a length of time. What becomes of it? Answer is it becomes stagnant and begins to have all kinds of unfriendly things living in it even though initially it might have been a clean pool of fresh water. A similar thing can happen in your body if for what ever reason you develop and area internally that becomes stagnant either due to lack of movement or lack of circulation. Various things can cause lack of circulation internally such as plaque building up in arteries etc and mucoid plaque building up in your colon.
If you think of exercise as helping your bodies internal circulatory systems to flow more then suddenly exercise becomes far more relevant. Stop thinking about exercise as how fit you are and how many pres-sups you can do and how far you can run etc and start thinking of it as getting your internal liquids flowing. Of course to help flow you need to be properly hydrated so drinking the right amount of water is also important as water is lost through the skin due to exercise.
All of this extra flow around the body helps your body clear out the rubbish. Your lymph system that is very important in the role of removing waste from the body relies on movement and muscle contraction in order to pump the lymph fluid around your body. If you aren't moving that much then your lymph fluid can begin to stagnate as well. It can then cause a back log and make it difficult for your body to keep your blood as clean as it would like. Thimngs like this cause a whole series of knock on effects and if allowed to go on for a considerable amount of time can be at the heart of your future health problems.
Here are some of the main factors thought be behind some of todays health problems:
- Lack of knowledge as to how to fuel the human body
- Poor quality, overly acidic diets
- Over eating on the wrong foods
- Lack of exercise
- Dehydration
- Blocked colons
- Exposure to chemicals
- Exposure to pollution and toxic waste
- Exposure to Electro Magnetic Radiation
- Too much stress
- Effects of drugs pharmaceutical and recreational
Here is one way I recommend you get back into exercising if you are starting from scratch.
My approach to exercise is that it is better to do a little bit often, for a continued period of time, rather than going totally mad for a few days and then not being able to do anything again for a few months because you injured yourself trying to do what you could do last time you exercised all those years ago.
If you are really out of shape this might mean starting by just doing a few gentle stretches every day and going for a slow gentle walk. Even if you think you aren't doing anything significant, keep doing this consistently and your body will begin to make internal changes for sure.
As you walk imagine all the waste fluid being pumped around your body for elimination. Picture all your red blood cells becoming super charged with oxygen and them rushing around your body oxygenating all the other cells of your body. Breath deeply as you go You might start doing this every other day for the first few weeks, then build up to doing it every day for 5 days and have the weekend off. You always have to remember to allow your body to rest. Over doing it will also lead to trouble. You also have to pay attention to how you are fueling your body. Make sure your oil and water levels are well topped up so as avoid joint and muscle problems. MSM and silica are two good supplements to take to help avoid this. As you progress and begin to feel better you can begin to up your speed and intensity of the walk. Do this for short bursts and when you begin to feel out of breath ease off and return to a pace that allows you to regain your composure. Slowly but surely you can begin to increase the time you keep up the fast pace and before long you may even feel the urge to begin breaking into a slow jog!
