It is one of the aims of Raw Humour, yes, to encourage people to eat more healthily by increasing the percentage of ripe, raw, fresh, organic food they eat, but also to help keep people focusing on their emotional health with the generous usage of humour and laughter.
Raw humour is without doubt THE most sensible, fun, effective approach to raw food and health the world has EVER seen!

Raw Humour also acknowledges that there are other important factors to achieve health and happiness.
They are Exercise, Sunlight, Water, Sleep, Love and Fresh Air and of course Good Genes (and I don't mean Levi 501's either!)

The information on this website is sensible, realistic and balanced information obtained from over ten years of my own search and research trying to find the "Healthy Grail", and in particular from my interest in microscopic goings on in the human body and my work with live blood microscopy!
The information has been infused with humour in many forms. It has been presented in such a way that you have to do some thinking for yourself in order to determine that what I have written is true, or in fact just an attempt to be humorous and designed to provoke thought on your part and to increase your Vitamin L12 levels!

One of the key words in the successful Raw Humour approach to health is BALANCE!
I have seen lots of people getting into health and raw foods going from one unhealthy extreme to another "unhealthy" healthy extreme. Too much of anything can kill you if you over do it. Too much oxygen isn't good for you and everyone knows that we need oxygen to survive!
The big problem is knowing what IS the right amount for YOU, and trying to stay happy whilst trying to find the answers to all these questions in amongst all the confusing and conflicting information that is flying around!
Raw Humour is here to help you keep balance between trying to be healthy feeding your belly and exercising your belly with some good old belly laughter to feed your emotional body too.

There's more to Raw Humour than laughter alone!
Contrary to what some people may think, The Raw Humour approach doesn't mean not caring at all about what you eat and eating rubbish when ever you feel like it and just having fun! That approach wouldn't necessarily be any good for you either. The key is balance and awareness that everything that you do do or don't do has a very real effect on your overall health and happiness which has an accumulative effect!
For many today the focus is on having fun first, and unfortunately most activities that people love to indulge in these days involve destroying your health, which not only puts your body under extra stress, but when added to the high levels of stress we are all exposed to these days it can lead to you ultimately experiencing even more stress if you should lose your health and HAVE to begin doing something about it. Some people aren't even that lucky..the first sign that they have that something is wrong is a fatal heart attack (not very funny..ask anyone who has had one)!
The A.C.E. Approach to Raw Foods
To help people follow raw food in a slightly more positive healthy way than some approaches tend to encourage, and help steer you clear of some of the raw food minefields that can leave you feeling depressed and feeling like you are failing by not being 100% raw, I have designed a new approach that people can use and instead of calling themselves a raw fooder, which implies to a lot of people that they have to be 100% raw straight from the off and can make people either feel inadequate or put them off even trying to eat more raw food in the first place. This new label is called A.C.E.which stands for Accepting Conscious Eater.
Vitamin L12 deficiency syndrome!
Another one of the aims of Raw Humour is to bring more awareness to a condition that is becoming more and more prevelant in the 21st century than any other disease known to man Vitamin L12 deficiency Syndrome. Vitamin L12, like B12 is vital in so many finctions in the body. It is only produced by the body when we laugh, hence the reason why this vitamin has taken on the name The Laughter Vitamin. The 12 comes from trying to make it sound as important as B12.
Symptoms that you may be suffering from Vitamin L12 deficiency include:
- Feeling that something is not quite right even though everyone says that you are fine
- Only seeing the negative in everything around you
- Not laughing from one day to the next
- Losing your temper easily (classic sign of internal biological stress)
- Headaches, twinges, achey joints, back back
- Low energy, no energy
- Acne, bad breath, smelly arm pits, foul smelling anal wind emissions
- Rapid weight gain
- Can't put on weight
- Depression
- You feel happy when you are talking about a health condition that you have
- You start looking and feeling older than you think you should
- Too much focus on food as the answer to all your problems and no health improvements
- Becoming highly defensive towards anyone who tries to tell you that your diet sucks
- Excessive frowning and drooping down turned lips (often mistaken for simple sadness and ignored)
The power of laughter
Just to give you some idea of the power of laughter, people have cured themselves of serious diseases like cancer by including laughter as a major part of their recovery. Of course if you get diagnosed with cancer and all you do is laugh, then don't expect a guaranteed recovery, not without doing a few other things as well. But it has to be said Laughter is a very powerful medicine when used correctly. I think it's so important I have named laughter Vitamin L12!

Even if you are eating the most healthy diet in the world, if your body is in stress mode most of the time and you are not laughing or at the very least smiling on a regular basis, then your body is not going to be able to function healthily. Laughing creates a whole chain of chemical events within the body that allows your body to release stress, and has actually been found to help the digestion of the foods you eat. To put it another way, if you are miserable eating a salad there is a good chance that you will not get to experience the full benefits of the nutrients contained within it. Food for thought...?
